George Clooney's mum 'happy' about engagement


George Clooney's mother Nina Warren has overjoyed about her son's recent engagement to British lawyer Amal Alamuddin.

George Clooney's mother is ''very happy'' her son is engaged to Amal Alamuddin.

Nina Warren is overjoyed the Hollywood hunk has popped the question to the British human rights lawyer as a result of she thinks she's a ''beautiful girl''.

Speaking to the MailOnline, she said: ''You'll say I'm extraordinarily happy, Amal's a beautiful girl.''

Nina admits she and her husband Nick, who met Amal over a year ago, weren't stunned once they revealed the couple had got engaged because they are well matched, due to their similar interest in international affairs.

She explained: ''We weren't the least bit shocked when they told us they were engaged, and we have a tendency to could not be happier for them. On an intellectual level, they're equals. That is very necessary to him. Amal's world could not be a lot of different from the Hollywood lifestyle.''

Nina additionally believes Amal, thirty six, is completely different from George's previous girlfriends - as well as Stacy Keibler, Lisa Snowdon, and Renée Zellweger - as a result of she has budding career and is very intelligent.
