Kate Winslet: Pregnancy caused memory lapses


Kate Winslet says her ''brain cells'' and memory are returning now she is no longer pregnant.

Kate Winslet thinks being pregnant destroyed her brain cells.

The 'Titanic' actress - who has children Mia, 13 , and Joe, ten, from previous marriages and son Bear, 3 months, with husband Ned Rocknroll - admits she suffered a ton of memory lapses when expecting her youngest child, but is slowly reacquiring the information she lost.

Kate said: ''It's beautiful actually having had the baby as a result of currently all my brain cells are coming back back to me and I can remember things - just like the films I once created!''

The 38-year-old beauty additionally admitted she hasn't had several sleepless nights since welcoming Bear into the globe.

Speaking on BBC Radio 2, she said: ''The baby's wonderful, and truly at the hours of darkness he's a pretty sensible sleeper. He is not much of each day-time sleeper however he is very sensible at nights.''

The 'Divergent' actress has already shed the pounds she gained throughout her pregnancy, but insisted she hasn't deliberately done anything to lose weight, attributing it to ''Mother Nature''.

She said: ''She's been on my aspect now.''

And the British beauty slammed the constant stigma around women's post pregnancy bodies.

She said: ''I assume there is terrible pressure on women to lose baby weight. It's a very difficult subject really because everybody's completely different.

''We shouldn't speak regarding it too much, it simply adds to that whole dialogue.''
